While surfing the web, I came across a title of a series named ‘FlashForward’. It caught my attention, and I started downloading it right away. The series mainly revolves of a fictional incident of a global blackout. Everyone on the planet, every human being, lose consciousness for 2 minutes and 17 seconds. Well, that’s not all. While they blackout – every single man and woman and child caught a glimpse of the future exactly 6 months ahead prior to the event they called GBO; The Global Blackout – the single most disastrous event in the human history.

The GBO event results in the towering global death rate. Pilots lose consciousness while piloting aircrafts. Doctors lose consciousness during surgeries. Pile ups, traffic accident tolls up.

The tagline of the series is “What did you see?”. The entire human race lives in fear after the GBO event. Dead people are everywhere, but that’s not the most terrifying thing they have to deal with. It’s the 2 minutes and 17 seconds FlashForward to the future they’re most afraid of.

What if you saw your daughter who’d been dead for the past 2 years in your vision?

What if you saw you’re sleeping with another person, and he’s not your spouse?

What if you saw yourself happily walking down your wedding aisle?

What if you saw yourself being drowned by an unknown man?

What if you saw yourself strangling a stranger to death?

What if you saw NOTHING?

Some are afraid that their haunting visions come true. Some are afraid their happy vision won’t. The others have to deal with the possibility of not being able to survive the next 6 months for they did not see anything? Just darkness and emptiness. They cannot be sure why they did not have a vision of future like everyone else. They’re future unlike others are even darker, and scarier.

People begin to live with the awfully little knowledge of their own future. People began to lose trust that they should ‘live for today’ like they already did all their life. There are some who refused to believe the future is definite. Or is it not? Can they fight ‘fate’?

The story takes off with FBI agents trying to find out what actually causes GBO, and who’s behind it. Their investigation is ironically based on an agent’s FlashForward. Slowly, everything he saw in the future falls into place, causing the agents to believe that the future they’d seen in their vision are inevitable.

It’s a very interesting series to catch. I think it’s really worth the watch. Just one episode and it already took my breath away. It’s a thriller, but at certain scene, I find myself deeply touched. You guys should really watch this.

Last month my mum and sister accompanied me almost all the time. When they’re not, Nana would’ve bugged me. Mr. Pua would’ve called and make use of his salesperson’s tone to make fun of me. For one full month, I was never truly alone.

I got back to Shah Alam with Eunice two days ago, and I intended my little sister to have fun on her short stay here. I drove her around here and there. I hope she’d be happy with her stay with me.
The truth is, I’d like her to release herself from the hook of stress.

While she’s around time moved at the speed of light, and I’m almost always talking and chatting away.
But when she left, suddenly time seems to crawl lazily. I’m left unoccupied.

Suddenly, there’s too much time until I drift away in my own sea of thoughts.
I distract myself with the Twilight Saga, and I tried to complete the CD I wanted to present to Nana on her birthday.

Now alone at Shah Alam, suddenly, collecting my results (I’d a precognition that it’ll turn out bad) on Saturday seems too long and too far away. Until Saturday, I don’t really have much to do.
In fact, I have NOTHING to do.

I hate being lonely like this.
And as much as I hate to admit this, I’m feeling emotional.
I hate this feeling equally as well.

Forced perspective is defined as ‘a technique that employs optical illusion to make an object appear farther, closer, larger or smaller than it actually is.’

I read about forced perspective photography and i Googled it, saw a lot of examples, and is feeling very eager to try this out soon.

Then i came across this picture, a great example from 1918 - Human Statue of Liberty - which really impressed me. I doubt any other photographer will be able to recreate a masterpiece this good.

If you study the picture properly, you'll notice that the feet if the statue is only composed by a few men, while in the head and flames - NUMEROUS! The photographer make full use of his knowledge of perspective and beautifully executed this piece of artistic photograph.

The picture is composed of 18,000 men preparing for war in a training camp at Camp Dodge, in Iowa.

A few very interesting facts about the image:

Length from base to Shoulder: 150 feet
Right Arm: 340 feet
Length of Torch and flame: 1000 feet
Total Length: 1490 Feet
Number of men in body and head of figure: 2,000
Number of men in right arm: 1,200
Number of men in torch: 2,800
Number of men in the flame only: 12,000
Total men: 18,000

I attended the All American Rejects concert in Bukit Jalil on the 31st of October! If I didn’t have Huilin accompanying me, maybe I won’t be there at all. And I’m super glad I was there! That concert rocks!

Also playing at the concert was Disagree, One Buck Short, and Pop Shuvit. I always think Pop Shuvit is a really cool band. I personally love it when Pop was playing Oh! Sizuka and Marabahaya. I don’t know the words to the songs (although I had listened to Marabahaya a few thousand times at least) and I wished I knew de lyrics so I can sing along! It was raining when they perform but the crowd was still crazily hype and jumping and jumping and shouting and singing along!

One Buck Short’s lead singer Mooky couldn’t make it to the concert, so some friends of the band covered for him. I don’t know their songs, but I love it when they sing Kelibat Korupsi. That hit memang terer lah!

After all our own local bands have done performing, the crowd impatiently waited for more than half an hour. They’re so bored they sing along when the organizers played some MTV by Lady Gaga and Black Eyed Peas and some other artistes. It’s kinda funny and fun really!

When AAR finally shows their faces, the crowd immediately went nuts! They’re great performers. When they did their well known singles like Dirty Little Secrets, I Wanna, and Gives You Hell, the entire crowd sang along. Really the ENTIRE crowd and screaming out the lyrics! The concert suddenly turns into Sesi Karaoke bersama All American Rejects! I’m sure the roaring can be heard from every corner of Bukit Jalil!

I’m just glad I was there. They rocks! AAR, Pop, Disagree and One Buck Short! They all rockz!!

This is totally a random discussion. When a girl is sexually harassed, or being RAPED, whose fault is it?

Is it the rapist’s fault or the victim’s fault? I heard someone said you can’t blame the rapist fully. The victim must also bear a bit of the responsibility. WTH?

To my dear friends, they’re not called victim without a reason.

i. Victim is a term used for the person a crime is committed against. If someone is robbed, they are the victim. If someone is killed, that person is the victim. The person who did the crime is the culprit.

ii. The culprit/criminal is the person who commits the crime against the victim.

iii. The victim is the person who seduces the culprit/criminal to commit a crime against him/her.

Which of the statement above does not make any sense to you?
Please, think before you make a statement. Don’t make yourself sound stupid.

Let’s take a random case study, and fit in the 3 statement.
Remember back in 2004, there is this case of Nurul Huda being killed and raped cold bloodedly in Gelang Patah? She’s only ten years old, and she’s helpless. The criminal is a man an animal known as Mohd Abbas raped her and killed her. I pray hoping that her soul may rest in peace.

i. Nurul Huda is the victim. She’s abducted, raped and killed brutally and inhumanly by Mohd Abbas. Mohd Abbas is the culprit.

ii. Mohd Abbas is the culprit whom committed the crime against the 10-year-old Nurul Huda.

iii. The victim seduces Mohd Abbas to abduct, rape and kill her brutally and inhumanly.

If you think in any way at all that statement (iii) is possible, you’re an idiot. I remembered once I read in newspaper someone said that,

‘rape victims are wrong at the first place because they do not tutup aurat.’

I say that guy is an idiot as well. That criminal deserves to die for what he did. And the victim does not bring this upon herself. The 10 year old Nurul Huda is wearing school uniform for Christ’s sake.

If you think wearing primary school uniform is sexy, you’re a delusional lunatic. She’s wearing what she should, and she’s helpless. And you definitely needs help.

Mohd Abbas is the only person to blame. That beast took everything away from the victim. If he did commit this crime against her, Nurul would be alive today at the age of 15, worrying about pimples or PMR result now.

None of that is going to happen, now who’s to blame?

The title of this post is not relevant. I'm not talking about real shopping. I'm talking about working with images I shot almost every night in Photoshop! I looked and searched into my old picture folder and post-processed every potentially editable photographs.

You might ask, "Woi, siao ah? What the hell happen to you? Why suddenly so bersemangat, rajin edit picture plak?"

It all started when I accidentally crash into some Dave Hill’s work. His photos make me go, "Oh my God!! His works are really f*cking awesome!" Click on his name to go to his personal website. You need to see it for yourself to understand why I went nuts over his works. Then while Googling, I came across works by Kukubesi. Again I’m stunned in awe. I swear I must at least achieve 1% of their work. Yes, 1% will do.

So I start searching for tutorials, but most of them are skipping steps; making the readers lost halfway through their guide. In the end, I tried to experiment from where I got lost and referring to many other guides as well. Then I got real lost. Terpesong. Instead of achieving the minimalism of the painted photo feel, I went all out to make my photographs look like real paintings instead.

I shoot this lonely duckling using D80 and this is the result of my post processing.

I’m partially satisfied with some of the pictures myself (though I know it’s incomparable with Dave's and Kukubesi's). I plan to get a good rest, shoot more pictures (maybe, tengok mood), and work on them in Photoshop again (definitely!)

Recently i'd been pretty obsessed with post processing. I'd been experimenting a lot with photoshop and its filters. I was not satisfied until I make THIS!

Haha.. The bad news is; I'd use two midnights to figure out how to make a picture look like a painting. Now that it's done, i'm going to bed.

Before I came back from Shah Alam, I had the opportunity to hang out and catch ‘Surrogates’ with Hui Lin. The funny thing about us is that we’d been SMS-ing a lot, but we’d never really talked much face to face. I really had a great time borak kosong with her. All our topics revolve around our assignments and movie critics.

After movie sempat go dinner some more. I was the one driving, but she’s the one bawa jalan. I wonder when only I’ll know my way around Klang Valley? I’m always doing the wrong turn here and there. Hilarious.

But what i wanted to share here is ‘Surrogates’.
This movie is set in a near future, where humans are actually interacting using humanoid machines that they control with much liberty on a control chair from their respective home. All aspect of life is done using these machines they call ‘Surrogates’.

I wonder why the Malaysia version of the poster is so damn ugly.
This version looks neat and nice.

The movie actually had a pretty nice, neat and easy to understand introduction. The technology used in Surrogates was invented in order to help those who are physically impaired. People who’d lost their limbs in accidents or any other means are given artificial machine limbs in which they can control at ease. Slowly, the technology expanded so much that full humanoid surrogates are created. It’s then commercialized and the government allows its use in daily social life. This action is said to be the first step to generate the crime-free society.

Bruce Willis stars in this futuristic science fiction as Tom Greer. He is a police detective that conducts his investigation using his own surrogate. It was until his machine was destroyed, he is forced to investigate the bizarre case of a few people who actually died, when their surrogates are ‘killed’.

I would recommend this movie. Not 5 star la. Maybe 3 star the best. The special effects are really cool, but the plot, it is somehow too predictable. Still, it’s an enjoyable movie.
You might like it. ;-)

Holiday begins today. Officially. Finally I’m done with everything! Done my packaging presentation, finished exam, and suddenly, I feel all eased up. Still worried about how I did in my exam also though. Information design totally sucked bad time. Shouldn’t have thought of that now that holiday is finally here!

The happy part of the holiday is that I’m going to head back to Melaka, and play all I want with Nana. Hang out with Eunice after her exam is over, and maybe hang out with some other friends as well. The downside is that I’m gonna leave Shah Alam, and might not come back until the 18th. That’ll mean I’m not getting to see my darling for a month or so. Argh.

Well... Holiday is supposed to be relaxing. You’re supposed to feel stress free, and relax all you want. It should be a happy moment, even if it’s temporary and you might have to work your ass again once it’s over.

But I know, to one particular individual, it’s just impossible. They’ll take their time, planning on how to make others feel miserable. She’ll be begging for pity from everyone around that still talks to her through Facebook, MSN, SMS or any other possible means. The story will be the same every single time: ‘The world is against her.’ To other people, they might say she’s always ‘EMO’. I think it’s ‘HOBBY’ la actually. Oh well. I guess people will still layan her and try to convince her anyhow. It’s so lucky to be her. Yea la. If not lucky, people she spat on won’t layan her also right?

Oh, and if she accidentally visited my blog, she might save it on a Word document and spread it among her friends. “See how Eugene mocked me. Yea la. Memang mocking you pun. It’s not like I’m making up stories also ryte? You behave exactly like what I said in my previous entry. It’s either I wrote it while looking at that face I now despise, or I had a silver-tongue and you behaved according to what I said. Argh. Don’t want to talk about these celaka story d anyway.

I’m quite happy la today (it’s 6:14a.m. now, so I might as well use the term ‘yesterday’). Sherlin brought us to a ‘Sushi-styled-steamboat’ at Puchong, and that place is really quite nice. For 28 bucks per pax, the food is actually quite nice. It’d been so long since all of us house-mates chill out together. The mess I had with Aj almost a month ago made me thought that a gathering like this is no longer possible. Glad that I was wrong. It turned out that we could actually talk nicely in peace. God really did heard my pleads.

The Pacific Tsunami Warning Center of the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration issued a tsunami watch for Indonesia, India, Thailand and Malaysia.

NOAA could not immediately say whether the quake generated a tsunami, but such advisories are issued when a quake has the potential to cause one."

I was made to delete this post because some one said it's offensive.
But wad the heck? Re-posting it anyway. Since many already read it elsewhere, why not here kan?

I cannot understand how the mechanisms of some people’s brain work sometimes. How can they be so extremely fake? I always said I hated backstabbers. I hate the jab from the back. But this is totally different from what I’ve seen so far. So totally different.

This individual can laugh. This individual can smile. This individual knows how to get angry, and she definitely knows how to condemn. If you’d wronged her, then get ready for her judgment. She’ll ignore, she’ll condemn you behind your back, and deny it in front you with almost genuine anger. She hates to be questioned, no matter how questionable her actions might be. This individual sees faults in others. But one thing I’m sure, she’d never seen any error in herself.

The nice thing about confronting her would be the almost always imperfect excuses she gave. What she said never made any sense to me.
“I did not say that before.”
“I forgot.”

I do not believe in her words. I do not believe in the warmth she gave to people around her. Having listened to her cruel words bout some other people around me is okay. But seeing her being so nice to these people she spat on when she’d problems made me sick. She can happily laugh and smile to these people she condemn not so long ago.

She’d treated me nice before. But the more I think about it makes me wonder if her warmth is genuine at all. All she need was company. All she need was someone to talk to, no matter who it is. No matter how much she actually hates you. All she need is to own the world. She needs to make the world bow to her command. She wants the world to know how she felt. But she never bothers to care what the world’s feeling. A self centered individual.

Is her warmth and care earlier genuine after all? No. It’s all fake.

I am positive that she’ll spit on these people again. The very same people she spat on earlier and talked to nicely after. Soon, as soon as she got pissed off for her own lame reason. But it won’t be a problem after all. People always give in to her when she comes back with excitement in her voice and smile on her face. I lost trust in her smile. In fact, her excitement and smiles now make me sick.

Saturday morning. Everyone left for their early morning classes. I’m left sitting alone here in front of my laptop. I don’t like the feeling of being alone, but today might be a good chance to just sit down and relax a little.

Life had been spinning 360 since the last few weeks. There’re moments of confusion, surprise, fear, happiness, despair and bitterness. But it’s all over now, I want to start anew. I want to get back on track.

I’ll just keep this post short. Need to pack. Need to head back to Melaka!!

Wow! I'd been watching 15Malaysia videos for some time since Aj introduced them to me. Although I did not catch them on their respective release date every time, I still go back and watch the latest 2-3 short films in one shot. I must say this short film 'One Future' really grabbed my attention. The style, the story and the voice of the narrator fits perfectly like a well conducted orchestra.

If this is the one perfect future, then I bet all Malaysian will rather live as rebellions. The freedom to speak is so important and so well symbolized in One Future. I hope you'll all enjoy this stop-motion video as much as I did. And I hope all Malaysian will stand tough. Deny our colour, religion, and ideology.
Tell the world that we're One.
More importantly?
Tell ourselves that we're indeed One.

I walked in the woods for so long now.
Then I see a huge rusty gate in front of my eyes.

The gate is built well, tall and high.
I pushed it once, it won’t budge. I push it yet again, but still it didn’t move one inch.
This gate is tough and strong.

I looked and examined the gate in every way I can.

The gate is humongous. It is decorated with beautiful engravings.
There are even decorative statues sitting on each side of the gate.

On the right side of the gate, a statue of an angel is calmly sitting playing his harp.
His harp is broken, and the angel’s head is covered with mud.
But as I looked closer, the muds are all coming from the eyes of the angel.
Suddenly, I felt that my heart is wrapped in sorrow.

A gargoyle sat on the left of the rusty gate.
Its wings spread wide; an exaggerated grin is carved on its face.
I couldn’t bare its piercing burning stare.
I suffocate only by looking at it.

On the top of the gate lays the words that reads ‘Amour, d'amitié et de la misère’. None of these words make sense to me, but such an instinct tells me that these words are significant to me. These words mirrored my life.

I try to peep over to see what the world is about to offer me at the other side of the gate.
I see a lake with swans swimming in it.
I see a garden so wonderful that it sparkles.
I see children happily playing on the other side of the gate.
I try to shake the gigantic gate as hard as I can.
I long to join their chatter and laughter.

But it was only then I realize my hands are bleeding.
I can see rust in my wounds.
But it does not hurt.
My heart hurts much more than the rusty mortal wound.

The paradise before my eyes is merely a mirage.
The garden, the children are gone.
The lake, the swans are gone.

All’s left is the gate of ‘Amour, d'amitié et de la misère’.

I Don’t Want to Rest in Pieces like Final Destination

I'd a 38.3 degree fever ytd. I was lying on my bed, rendered unable to move, I even thought my bed was trying to kill me. >.<

Thank God today I'm jumping and blogging. Wuhoo. Oh, regarding to the blog title. I'm a huge fan of Final Destination. I watched all Final Destination 1, 2, and 3 and I'm lovin' it. So, is there anyone who wants to give me free tickets to the upcoming sequel since I just escaped 'Death' yesterday?

Hoho.. so this is a short synopsis of the upcoming Final Destination.
On what should have been a fun-filled day at the races, Nick O’Bannon (Bobby Campo) has a horrific premonition in which a bizarre sequence of events causes multiple race cars to crash, sending flaming debris into the stands, brutally killing his friends and causing the upper deck of the stands to collapse on him. Wow. District 9 looks interesting. I go through some trailers and I really got hooked. I can’t wait for it to be released in our local cinema. Basically it’s about some kinda aliens whom landed on earth and their spaceship is confiscated by human’s government. The aliens are then relocated at District 9 where they are away from humans’ general population.

Most humans don’t welcome the aliens.
The aliens just wanna leave.
But the government is interested in their weaponry technology.

This is all I can understand from watching the trailers. But it’s already enough to get me interested.
I’m not always a sci-fi fan, but this is a must watch me. You guys should really check it out bout this movie too.

It’s currently 4.23a.m.
I’m multitasking: watching House, blogging and looking over my Cabal character at the same time. This is how my screen looked like now.

I’d some assignments I’m supposed to complete, but I’m currently not in the mood. I’d been unhappy lately. I couldn’t really focus, and I’m sleeping a lot lately. And I’d not been sleeping enough. I know I sound like I’m contradicting myself. I’d screwed up my biological clock. I got tired. And I’d done nothing. There’s no reason for me to be this tired.

Well, if I go on, this post would be all about me whining. But I don’t want to.

I rather blog about House. I’d come to love this series a lot. I’d just cover up until season 4. Maybe it’s my current mood. Or maybe, the crew of House did a brilliant job for the finale of season 4. It brought me down to tears.

The House MD series is about the limping and sarcastic Dr. Gregory House which would do anything to solve the puzzle, and his diagnostic team. The original fellow of the team was the always agreeable Dr. Chase, the moral questioning Dr. Cameron, and the dictator Blackpoleon Blackaparte Dr. Foreman. House had a best friend called Wilson, which we see House ‘bullied’ most of the time. Cuddy is House’s protective boss, and also one of the true friends House ever had.

At the end of season 3 House’s team was disbanded when House fired Chase, which leads to Foreman and Cameron’s resignation. House then recruited new fellows by having the candidates competing against each other. Originally there were 40 of them, but after a series of eliminations similar to reality TV programs such as The Survivor and The Bachelor, only 3 doctors remained: Taub, Kutner, and Thirteen. The final team includes Dr. Foreman as well.

But the character that made the most impact in this season’s finale is a candidate whom was eliminated from House’s game earlier. Amber’s character was similar to House’s. She’d do anything to achieve her goals. House calls her ‘Cut-Throat Bitch’ or CB for short. While all the doctors whom House eliminate never make any re-appearance, Amber’s character actually became more prominent in the later part of the series.

She dated Wilson, and their romance blooms at full throttle. At the time House discovered their relationship, they’d only been together for weeks. House and Amber fights over Wilson and in the end House comes to approve their relationship. However, the catch is Wilson is shared under a ‘joint custody’. It's funny how two people fight over a grown up man. I’d like to discuss more about the finale I’d just watched. The direction was executed almost perfectly. Salute. Here's the synopsis.

The first of the two episode finale is titled ‘House’s Head’. House had a concussion on his head and couldn’t remember what happened in the past 4 hours. After being hypnotized by Chase, House realizes he got the concussion when the bus he was on was involved in an accident. House is convinced that he’d someone he need to save from dying, and the 4 hours of memory he’d lost is crucial. In this episode, House is hallucinating; as he searches in his mind what is the important thing that he’d forgot. In this hallucination, House sees a young lady in his mind that told House that “I’m the answer”. The young lady is seen wearing an ember necklace throughout the hallucination. As the revelation, we learned that the patient that House needs to save is Amber. She was in the bus with him when the accident happened.

The second part is titled ‘Wilson’s Heart’. This episode showed Wilson breaking down. He was unable to think rationally when his girlfriend’s life is at stake. When Amber’s heart stops pumping, Wilson insisted that House have her on bypass instead of restarting her heart; in order to give House and his diagnostic team had bonus time to sort things out. Housedisagrees, but comply when Wilson’s said, “Please House, this is Amber”.

House struggles to find the true reason why Amber was with him at the moment of accident. Taub suggested that they might have an affair. Wilson is aware of the possibility of an affair as well. When Wilson suggested that House undergo a risky surgery that involves drilling a hole in his skull, and using electricity to shock his temporal lobe to restore his memories, House agrees.

House was drunk. He called for Wilson, but Wilson was on call for work. Amber picked up the call, and went to the bar to pick up House in place of Wilson. House made her pay for the drinks, and they left the bar. They went up a bus. The restored memory made House realizes that Amber is taking a drug to counter the flu she had. However, this became the cause of Amber’s unexplainable symptoms as the kidneys failed to filter the drug, causing all her organs to fail. There’s nothing the docs can do to save Amber, it’s already too late.

After regaining his memories, House had a seizure and the violent shake of his body caused his brain to bleed. House went into a coma in which he wakes up from at the end of the episode. Wilson had a chance to bid farewell to Amber, before Wilson shut her off the bypass.

It’s my favorite episode of House so far. My knowledge of medical aspect is apparently low, but it doesn’t stop me from enjoying the show. It’s a series worth watching. If you’re reading this, you should catch it. It’s not all medical. It’s as if the doctors are playing detectives to find the culprit, (the disease) that formed the symptoms(the clue). Everyone will love this kinda show.

It happened this Saturday. 16th of May 2009. I was coming back from Ayer Hitam after tuning my car at Ashraf’s NGV workshop. My dad was the one who’d drove there, and he said he was tired so he handed over the keys to me.

I took the highway. My dad was already sleeping. I wasn’t going too fast at the moment. Even when I’m going down the slope, I was only at 100km/h. It’s not really slow, but it’s considered not too extreme for highway’s standard. 5km before I reached the Pagoh’s toll, I heard a sound of explosion that goes, “Pom!” I thought I was hit.

The next thing I saw was my car heading towards the divider. I couldn’t steer to change the direction of my vehicle anymore. I went into a straight collision with the divider.

My car crash and I started screaming calling for my father. Glass starts to shatter and enter my mouth. My windscreen cracked and spider-webbed. I couldn’t see anything in front of me anymore.

The car rolled off the highway to the grassy plane on the left. The grassy area is sort of a slope. My car rolled over and over again vertically. The car is rolling very fast, and I’m still screaming for my dad.

Then it stopped. My dad was conscious. He asked me what happened and got off the car fast. I tried to open my door. It’s still good. I took off my safety belt. But it was then that I realize I was trembling like crazy. I had blood oozing out from my lips and forehead. Although I wasn’t stuck inside my car, I couldn’t get my feet to move out of my car. I’m trembling and shaking.

My dad came over to pull me out. He helped me to the side. When I looked back at the highway, I think we flew off around 50-60metres away. I can’t be too sure of the distance. And there’s no other car that hit me. I don’t know where the sound of impact came from.

Some Malay guys sprung out of nowhere and helped us. One of them sent me to the hospital. I was sent to Hospital Pakar Sultanah Fatimah at Muar. The doc at the emergency ward had me X-Rayed. Then she told me I’d to be admitted. I’d no idea what happened. All I know is that I had injured my neck. They immediately put on a neck collar on me. My mum came with my uncle and aunt. They hurried all the way to Muar after my dad told them about the accident.

Then I was sent to the orthopedics’ ward. There I learned that I misaligned some neck bones, but I can be discharge the next day. At the moment my dad and mum is already there with me. He’s fine except for some minor scratches on his left elbow. I’m just happy that he’s fine. I’m really glad that he’s fine. If anything happened to him, I don’t know if I can forgive myself.

Everybody that had seen that car said that it’s a miracle that we’re both still alive. Some said that we’re hell lucky. Some said God was with us. Whatever it is, I thank God for still being to blog and all.

I added a new widget this morning. Not a big fan for blog’s widget, but I’m somehow attracted to this one. It’s from Nuffnang, and it’s supposed to drag more readers to my blog. The name of the widget is XChange. Hm... It's floating at the right side of the blog, and it wont go away even if you scroll up and down.

There are 3 tabs on de new widget, if you noticed. The first tab is the RSS. RSS stands for ‘Random Silly System’ which means all it’ll randomly show you all the silly posts from Nuffnang blogs. Had been shooting with my D80 for quite some time now, and I was considering to get some accessories. I wasn’t alert enough when I get my D80. I should’ve got the one with 18-200mm lens, instead of the 18-135mm that I’m having now. The lens I’m using now is without VR, so any slight movement while shooting at lower or moderate shutter speed will affect the picture’s quality drastically. I want to get a speed flash soon, and daddy had just flashed (or at least hinted) me a green light. I’ll start surveying the price of the speedlight for my D80 tomorrow. Advice is needed, as I do not wish to repeat the same mistake I did with the lens.

As I survey on the forums and website, and I found out that Nikon’s SB-600 and SB-800 sound like reliable choice. The problem is that many people swear by SB-600, while the others say it’s not a reliable choice. I need more feedback from SB-600 users (if there’s any who happens to stop by this blog of mine).

If there’s any who’d purchase any of the speedflash(s), please tell me the price range. I wouldn’t want to end up paying more as well.

Or is there any 3rd party speedlight to recommend? What battery to use? How’s the performance? Ah.. I’ve too many questions to ask, yet I do not know what exactly that I need to know!

Okay, I definitely understand if you say you have no confidence in our own Malaysian's local film. I'd my own bad experience. Remember the loud bragging of Kinta: the first Malaysian's martial art film? I haven’t stop cursing bout how that movie sucked even after months and months watching it. I don’t know what the hell the director wanted to portray. And frankly, I can’t even call it an action flick. It’s more like a comedy to me. Try imagining this scenario: one guy is trying very hard to beat his victim brutally, and the victim bleeds like Bugs Bunny cartoon. Yea, the CG blood looks like cartoon. God damn it, I rather see the actors spit tomato ketchup out of their mouth. Not just that, the film is filled with stupid flashbacks, forcing the audience to watch the same scene over and over and over and over and over and over and over again, until you lose count. And What the fuck was with the gawky romance?!

If you haven’t watch Kinta, DON’T. If you still insist on watching it against my suggestion, I hope you’ve prepare yourself beforehand. Pull yourself together and face the fact that it’s a comedy and NOT a martial art film. And be prepare, there’s NO conclusion to the plot in the film. The director, Mr. CL Hor blames the demand of western market by saying they only want to see actions and solid brutally choreographed kung fu. I blame him for his poor direction skills. I think no one (both western and local audience) will say this movie is worth watching. It’s a poorly edited movie with no strong storyline, and it sucked badly.

Seriously. Don't torture your eyes with this movie.

Eh, but now terbawa-bawa pulak. I didn't mean to criticize Kinta when I first started typing this entry. But now I say if you're a Malaysian, you should forget Kinta and support this new film by Yasmin Ahmad. Talentime is a must watch. Yasmin Ahmad is the same director that presents us with the touchy and catchy Petronas advertisements for every major celebration in Malaysia. She’s also the same director that gives us sepet. Her work is always so amazing. I’m a fan of her works. Still don’t believe me? Then watch this two Talentime’s trailer for yourself. =)

Although most of the stars of this movie is of newcomers of young stars, this film is truly amazing. Watch this film and learn from it, that we're not all so different anyway. This film is a tale in which I think every Malaysian can relate with. I really hope we can all put our difference apart and truly cherish each others like in this movie's conclusion. One true Malaysia!

I feel needless to comment on her direction because Yasmin have already proved to the world that she’s a great director/filmmaker. You must watch it yourself to experience her magic. And I must say, the soundtrack used in the movie is great! I fall in love with the song ‘O Re Piya’ which is featured in both the movie and the trailer. All the other tracks such as ‘I Go’ are very nice as well.
Well, what are you waiting for? Go watch Talentime, NOW!!!

I've been hanging at home for the past 2 weeks. Only go outs occasionally, and most of the time, even if I do get out, I'm just driving my family around, or fetch my sister to her tuition class. Memang bosan la~ In a blink of an eye, there goes 2 weeks of my holiday!

But it's fine lah just hanging around at home. Not like I don't like it. Haha.. Can teman mummy, babysit Nana, watch movie, online like usual... It's fine really. After all, it's my home sweet home.

That's not the main topic yet. On Sunday, my sister bought a pair of jeans at Bintang. Well, we paid for the jeans and bungkus back home lo ryte? And guess what my mum discovered the next day when she wanted to wash the new bought jeans?

Yes, the anti theft system thing!!

The cashier did not remove this thing after we pay for it! But the thing is there's no alarm whatsoever when we moved away from the counter. maybe Bintang's security and anti theft system are all bullshits after all.

My mum said we should just get the pants back to Bintang, show them the receipt and have it removed for us. But I'm excited and I was eager to remove the thing myself! After some discussing, my mother allow me to have some fun, as long as I don't make any holes in the pants.

I saw a small metal material that connects the two plastic pieces. I try to bend that thing using my hand, but to no avail. I thought I need some kinda tools.

And so I start digging my dad's toolbox, and I tried to cut it using this plier.

My dad's pliers are weary and blunt, again, to no avail. If you zoom in, all you can see some tiny dents to the metal. Nothing more than that.

So, in my frustration, I resorted to 'violence'. I tried to use a hammer to break the plastic cover.

You know what? Wah-lao-eh!! The plastic cover must be made of some heavy duty plastic or some kinda super heavy duty material that looks like plastic! I tried to hammer it numerous time, and there's not even a dent on it.

After some time, I thought it's kinda useless trying to break the big piece of plastic cover. So I switched my attention to the smaller piece of semi sphere plastic on the other end. This is how I do it. Lol..

At last, some results can be seen! Hahaha.. In the end the plastic piece is torn in pieces. and it came off really easily. So much for the hammer and all. So next time if you ~~steal a jeans from supermarket~~ face a careless cashier who forget to remove this anti theft thingy from your jeans, break the smaller piece of the plastic using two pliers, dun hammer them. Lol!

Tadaaa... End of this post! I know it's kinda stupid posting this kinda shit and all, but I thought it could really be some kinda stupid and foolish blogging material. Haha.. After all, many friends said my blog are getting too emo. Lol.

My assignments, my presentations, my projects, all are submitted. All accomplished. Now that everything is finally done, I’m felt relieved!

While I was rushing against time to finish my works, AJ got ‘diu’ me a bit. She said I never gave any credits to those who help me in doing my tasks. I cannot credit them in my written assignments, so I credit them here in my blog k?

AJ helped me a lot in my written assignments. She did my PR report for me, and many other written assignments, while I am busy doing my designs. Can say every piece of my written assignment also she’s involved. Especially my forum’s presentation script, and my PR report. That two pieces of writing are purely her work. I’m just giving her the guidelines and taddaaaaa... The work is done! Besides that, I also had her criticize my artwork. She’d been very helpful. All my works she said not nice. So, everything has to be redesign again. Hahaha... But it’s good lah. I feel that there’re improvements to the designs. Thanks a lot!!

So, actually, there’re only 2 subjects that got me so busy for the past weeks. Digital 3D Design, and Digital Illustrations. Well, 3D is a headache for me. I’m relatively weak in modeling, and the process sucks. Our lecturer Mr. Shahruddin assigned us with only four 3D models to make, but still we cannot submit the work in time.

The 4 items he assigned us to complete are:

(i) Apple

(ii) Hammer

(iii) Hand

(iv) 3D character

And what I submitted is definitely not so similar with what he wants. Hahahaha... I gave him:

As for Digital Illustration, I am assigned to design a concert ticket. And for final project, I have to redesign a children’s storybook.

The ticket is a total reboot after AJ said the original design sucks badly. But I can’t show you the original design because it sucks so bad, I didn’t even bother to complete it.

This is how it looks like after the reboot. It’s disappointing because the figures in front are not clear on print. Ah... I forgot to label the front and the back. The one with black surface is the front. The white one with loads of logos and the map is the back.

When I say I’m to redesign a children’s story book, I mean I’d to improve the design of the story book. I don’t really know what to do. So, I choose to extract the text as it is, and re-illustrate the whole thing. You really should read the children storybook. I never thought that I would read such a piece of rubbish. The illustration is really terrible, and the story itself is too damn dumb. Here’s a some sample of the book:

Before starting a new entry, I want to wish all my readers a Happy New Year 2009! I hereby wish all my readers a happy, healthy and prosperous year ahead! Sorry for the late wish though!

In this entry, I would like to share how I spent the rest of the 2008 after my Christmas, and how I celebrated New Year. On the 26^th, I paid a visit to Genting with my dear cousins. It’d been so long since I spent some quality time with them. So long that I din realize all of them are besar panjang already. Andrew had even developed a very coarse voice. It’s actually scary that he’s getting this tall. Maybe the next time I see him, he’ll even be taller than me.

I don’t know whether it’s my luck or what, but it always rains when I visit Uncle Lim’s empire. So, as usual, I ends up all wet. They should really change the tagline from “It’s fun at the Peak!” to “It’s raining at the Peak!” But being wet once in a while is fun nevertheless.

But one thing I really hate about Genting Highlands is the price and the taste of the food. They don’t taste nice, and they are hell expensive. When I say they don’t taste nice, I mean the foods are really tasteless. Really tasteless to the level where you’re complaining from the moment you start to consume the food until you finish the food. It’s actually like they’re out of salt or something. Duh, how I hate bad food. Luckily, my aunt sponsored me my dinner. If I 'd to pay that much for lousy food, i think I'd be cursing nonstop. I do heard people saying that there are good foods at Goh Tong Jaya. But then again, I heard it’s even more expensive. Hmph…

This stupid ugly tasteless "Taiwanese Beef Noodles" cost my aunt RM19.90. Luckily got people belanja.

On the 31^st of Dec, we planned to go lepak somewhere, and the plan is to plan while we’re on the way. You know how planning on the way is so ineffective. So, we went over to fetch Sze Mun at Bandar Tun Razak, then due to the traffic jam all over KL, we went over to Kajang to have some satay. Although we chose Kajang because we’re trying to avoid the whole traffic jam thing, the route to Kajang is stuck as well.

I have no idea why Kajang’s satay is so damn popular. Seriously! What happened to the succulent juicy Kajang satay I’d heard of before? Been there twice, and I still think it sucks. Their satay daging’s had an elastic texture. So feels so elastic that you might think you’re chewing some kind of cheap-made-in-china-bubblegum. Its taste sucks badly. The only thing is there to save the famous Kajang’s Satay is its kuah kacang. If it wasn’t for the kuah, I would’ve been pissed off by bad food again.

I guess Kajang Satay wanna join the Christmas fun by making Christmas-tree-shaped-satay!

After satay at Kajang, we went over to Sunway for countdown. Hmm… We did not purchase the pass to the New Year party there, so we just hung out outside Sunway Pyramid, where the entrance to Sunway Lagoon is visible. From where we were, we only get to see some nice fireworks when the clock strikes 12. That mark the end of year 2008, and a whole new year begins! 2009, here we come!

I ended up drunk that night. Too much Martell, too much beer and too little satay. Crap, I basically drank the liquor with an empty stomach. It’s really embarrassing. I did not have any recollection of what I did the next morning when I woke up. Phew… No more liquor for me. At least not with an empty stomach anymore.

Let’s skip that part. I don’t want to tell you what I did when I wasn’t conscious. Hahaha… So, let’s continue at somewhere interesting. On the New Year’s evening, I spent my time at One Utama with Aj and Sze Mun. We’re there because we couldn’t decide on where to go for a nice ‘New Year Dinner’. So, I suggested that we go over to Dave’s Pizza Pasta Vino. It’s not like I dine there before, I just read about them at Kenny Sia’s blog. Kenny is saying that their non-halal pizza and pork belly kicked ass and everything so I thought “Why not give it a try?”

We’d a hard time deciding upon the menu, and in the end it was really Aj that make the decisions. I enjoyed my meal there. The 4-cheese-pizza is a little ordinary, but overall it’s satisfactory. I won’t border you with the details of the food, but if you intend to read more about them, I suggest you read Kenny’s blog. It’s the reason why I paid Dave a visit anyway.

I felt full and satisfied. My taste buds are finally satisfied. You really have to try the turkey yourself. It’s succulent, and juicy. Not like the ordinary dry and hard turkey we always have. The turkey is my favorite dish of the night. Even blogging about it makes my mouth watery.

What we ordered? Quadro Pizza, Turkey and Pork Belly. Sweet!

The food at Dave's is so nice that you might wanna go to bed as soon as you finish them!

Also, the very same night, I watched Bedtime Stories. At first I thought “Adam Sandler and Disney??? That's a weird combination!”

Still I watched it because Chanel said it’s quite nice. Then it crossed my mind that even The Rock and Disney turns out fine in The Game Plan, so i gave it a green light. It turns out to be really nice, although it doesn’t make sense in some part. But hey, which comedy makes sense anyway? Yes Man doesn’t make sense at all, so yes, and watch it!

It was reminiscing the old times when we’re all still young, I thought of all the stupid and crazy stuffs we did. I remember how life was easy back then, without having to think much about anything at all. PMR, SPM, oh heck... I never gave a damn about those major exams anyway. How carefree.

Then I thought of my old blog... Went back and read my own post, smiling at myself like I’m a stupid dude. Then I saw this post:

i knew this one guy 9 years ago. he was a small sized guy, with small eyes, and doesn't really talk much. how did i knew him? we both came from the same primary school, but we doesn't rily talk to each others, even we spent 4 years in the same class together.

out of 140 plus standard six students from st. francis primary school, only four boys transfered to smk gajah berang. so, both of us starts to talk to each others. we sat next to each other. go out with each other. soon, he became my closest friend. though we were not in the same class the year after that, we never lose contact. we still hang around together. and for three years; since form one till form 3, we'll go out every single friday. where we went? we went to Fajar supermarket! alwiz hang around micky trading to browse thru all those ps games folders.

when we enter form 4, both of us was sorted in 4Sc2, based on our PMR results. and again, we sat next to each others. makin noise in class each and evry single period till the teachers labeled us with all sort of names. but we din give a damn. whu cares what the teachers think?

things do get nasty sometimes. alrite, its not juz sometimes, it's lots of time. thru de years, we quarrel lots of time. damn, and i can say it's almost everytime my fault. but one thing i can say is, he always took the immediat action of using the word "sorry". in hundreds of times we got ourselves into fights, i only used that word once or twice.

he was always looking over my back. yea.. always. this are the words from the bottom of my heart, "wei Pua, kalau saya ada buat apa-apa silap, apa-apa yang buat engkau marah, saya nak pohon banyak-banyak ampun. minta maaf k? i'll never wanna lose a friend like u!

His birthday was yesterday, and he’d his birthday party on the Christmas night. I’m sorry I can’t attend his party due to my family’s gathering we had every Christmas. I did make a brief appearance there, and I wished I could’ve stayed longer. Happy Birthday Pua. I hope you have a fabulous year ahead of you!

What the fuck is wrong with my luck these days? I’m so fucking unlucky, and I feel like blowing my head off with an AK47 (if I had one).

This morning, I was driving outta the college area when I suddenly hit some 1 ft high concrete with my front bumper. The screeching sound is like so damn loud and I can actually feel my heart beating in my throat. I was so shocked. When I get off my car to check, all i can see is the whole front bumper already fell off. What a retard I am.

I drove to the nearest auto repair shop (which is not a body shop), and they say I’d to change the whole bumper. The bumper brackets are all broken. According to the mechanic, my bumper is already out of shape. There’s nothing much to be done except to change a whole new bumper. So I placed my order.

Then I thought that I should have called my dad, asked his opinion of what to do. He answered my phone call and briefly said:

"Don’t fix. Bring the bumper back to Melaka."

Eventually, I go back to the shop and cancelled my order. Haiz, and back to Melaka I did. I cruised my all my way back (more than 130km) with my front bumper in my car, instead of having it on the front. I have no choice since the NGV tank is occupying the rear storage.

Kak Ain was admitted into hospital yesterday. As a friend, I visited her at Klang (nonsense, takkan I visit her as doctor plak). It wasn’t easy to find that Klang Hospital. Tersesat. And after a series of unfortunate events, including doing a few U-turns in Klang Town, finally I arrived at the hospital. When I saw her, then only I know that she was admitted because her blood pressure was too low. But since she can smile and ask for diet coke, I guess she'll be fine soon. And of course, I hope and pray that she’ll get well soon!

But in this entry, I would like to share what my friends and I saw at the hospital: a very special signboard indeed: a parking slot reserved for dead indians.

I wonder whether they reserved parking slots for dead chinese from government sector as well?

I used to wonder sometimes why people turned hard and cold.
Then I heard people talking about: Disappointment.

Then I wonder why people get disappointed.
Then I heard people runts about: Unfulfilled expectations.

Then I tried to find the word that suits people that are disappointed with unfulfilled expectations, hard and cold, but I couldn’t find the proper word.

These cruel people don’t care about the people who cared for them. These vengeful people only want others to feel the sad world of disappointment they lived in. These sadists are so extremely cruel that they actually feel good when others starts to feel like them.

In the end, nothing matters to them. The reality remains: They are only heartless beings which are hard and cold.
